Obituary of Bonnie McConnell
Bonnie McConnell, 47, of Muscatine, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 4:00 – 8 :00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services and again on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. Following visitation, cremation rites will be facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Bonnie’s name. Bonnie Lucille Spain was born on June 1, 1970 in Palmer, Alaska, the daughter of James Thomas and Roxanna (Carney) Spain. On March 24, 1997, Bonnie was united in marriage to Robert McConnell in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, painting, needle point, traveling, going to casinos and spending time with her family.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert; children, Bruce Mothershead of Spring City, Tennessee, Carrie (Adam) Nance of Cleveland, Tennessee and Nathaniel McConnell of Oceanside, California; grandson, Nicholas Nance; mother, Roxanna (Charles) Giaque of Spring City, Tennessee; and siblings, James (Tina) Spain of Palmer, Alaska, Samuel Spain of Michigan, Travis Spain of Portland, Oregon and Lyndia Hohn Spain of Tennessee.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father and brother, William.
