Randell L. Teel, 92, of Grandview died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home. There will be no services or visitation. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Randell and his family. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Randell’s name. Randell L. Teel was born October 7, 1925 in Grandview, Iowa, the son of Marcellus and Laura M. (Thompson) Teel. Randell served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. On September 8, 1949, Randell was united in marriage to Ruby Orr at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Randell had worked 15 years for Rath Meat Packing, was the developer of Teel Addition in Grandview and previous owner of Jake’s Place at Lake Odessa. He was a member of the American Legion and Foresters. He enjoyed fishing, yard working and helping others. His greatest love was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Randell will be dearly missed by, daughters Carolyn Townsend of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Marilyn Swailes of Muscatine, son Rodney and wife Tina of Grandview; sister, Carol Varner of Osage Beach, MO; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, loving nieces, Judy Teel of Coppock, Iowa, Marsha Birdsell of Salem, and dear friends; Pat Blackledge and Julie Nguyen, both of Grandview and Myra Pencil of Letts.
Randell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby in 2012; four brothers and five sisters.
