Kenneth Lorack, Sr., 87, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Colonial Manor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Kenneth Arthur Lorack, Sr. was born February 7, 1930 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Art and Cecilia (Draker) Lorack. Kenneth had three sisters, two older and one younger. He attended country schools in Riverside and high school in Lone Tree. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On March 2, 1957 Kenneth was united in marriage to Beverley Baughman in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Farming was Kenneth’s passion and greatest enjoyment in life, being in the outdoors and on the tractor in the fields. He also enjoyed going to the casino, mushroom hunting and cutting wood.
Kenneth will be dearly missed by his sons, Kenny (DeAnn) Lorack, Jr. of Riverside and Charles (Maria) Lorack of Columbus Junction; his daughters, Sherri Genkinger of Wisconsin, Brenda (Tim) Bevans of Solon and Beverley Sue (Chris) Finnell of Winfield; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly in 2011.
